
Having been babying my injured ankle for far too long, I tried restarting a return to running programme.
It’s more ambitious than a couch to 5k and should get me up and running sooner. Gogo came out with me so she could do her easy run too (plus she’s super supportive of me running).
Tried to take it really easy so my lungs could catch up, I got to rep 3 and started to feel my breathing relax. This is with longer reps than the C25K that I struggled with a few months ago.
So I was feeling really positive. focusing on running tall, keeping to my midfoot, landing underneath me, keeping strong ankles…
Then my calf cramped up and I had to walk the rest.
So frustrating.
