Last night, we had the first of a few calls on the run in to volunteering on one of the Spine Safety teams this Summer.

Great to meet the team ahead of time, and start to build out an idea of the plan.

There’s a good amount of military and mountain leader experience on the team, which means that I’ll get a chance to pick up some wisdom whilst we’re out there.

Yet to see where we’ve been assigned but it sounds like we’ll be much higher up the Spine Race course than I’ve been before. Exciting.

I did find out that we’re the midnight–8am shift though. Ouch.
